Men’s IOP Program Now Available
We are excited to announce that we are opening our Men’s ASAM Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Group! We can begin receiving referrals for male clients assessed as potentially needing IOP so we can evaluate their treatment needs and presenting ASAM criteria.
This Men’s IOP Group will be Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. The identified start date for the group is Monday October 7th, 2024. Groups run for three hours, three times per week and the State minimum for IOP is 12 weeks. Clients, therefore, can expect to be in IOP for approximately 12 to 16 weeks dependent upon their progress. At that point, they will be assessed to determine whether they appear ready for a reduction in treatment to an EOP or WOP group (depending on their other treatment needs), or whether they have continued to struggle with substance use and warrant referral for a higher level of care.
If the client is recommended to attend a lower ASAM Level, a Change in Treatment will be sent to the client’s supervising agent outlining the clinical reasoning and recommendation for a lower level of care.
If the client is recommended to attend a higher level of care, a formal Drug and Alcohol Assessment will be completed so the client’s risk factors and updated ASAM criteria can be identified for the supervising agent and for the treatment agency who will be providing the higher level of care.
Clients and/or referring agents interested in learning more about our IOP Program can reach out to our office so we can directly address any questions or concerns.
